This article actually overlaps a bit with the previous one. Helga and I had been working feverishly to finish getting her house ready for sale before Tom arrived. Tom was out on the west coast for a wedding, and he was coming to visit after that, so there was no postponing his visit a few days. The issue is we just weren't going to be done with Helga's house before Tom arrived. I let him know a few days before what the required agenda was going to be, but he was all for pitching in and helping us finish. Tom arrived as planned, we spent the evening at home, and then drove over Donner Pass to Helga's. We spent three very long days finishing up the house. Then on to the boat!
